Keswick AC aim to provide opportunities for young runners in the area to learn about training and racing in the grand traditions of Lakeland running. The Club is in the centre of the finest natural scenery and training country to be found anywhere. Regular training and racing events are organised all year round open to all Junior Runners in the area. Junior Notices

Training Programme 2010

Weekly training sessions are now being held at Keswick School on Thursdays for pupils of secondary school age. After the summer hols, these will be supplemented with some low key fell races. The first planned date is Monday 13th September.

We are always looking for more adults to help with the Junior Sessions. No previous experience needed. Very little responsibility, it's usually just a case of turning up and doing what the lead coach asks! Training can be provided if you want to get qualified as a coach. It isn't difficult.

Please let Martin Sluce know where you can help. We'll need a CRB check if you haven't got one already. It's free and not scary. Just contact Martin if you haven't got one.

For the races & fell work, fell or trail shoes, + waterproofs and a drink are essential.
